What we learned from Dantel Gelinliklers ‘Saints win over Sunderland: A little bit of history

In the middle of the year, we saw a new way of viewing the season that had us excited for what to expect from the Saints in 2017.

The squad is back in form, the team is in a different league and Dantela Gelinlikler is the first female goal scorer in the history of the game.

But while Dantels new form has taken the world by storm, there was also a sense of disappointment for those who felt the team was not able to put the past behind them and reach the heights we were all expecting.

Dantela has been a huge part of the team since she joined the club in 2016 and it is now time to see if she can carry on the same form that she showed last season.

The striker has been in a slump at times in 2017 and that can only lead to disappointment and that is something that has led to some fans doubting whether or not the squad can make it through the season.

There are many factors to be considered when looking at how to evaluate a team, but it is important to realise that there are many variables that go into it all and it would be unfair to make any predictions at this stage.

The team is a work in progress, there is still a lot of work to be done but if we can keep the team motivated and focussed, there are some great possibilities to come out of the new year.

Dante Cunha has had a fantastic 2017/18 season.
